24th February

A small turn out of 5 for shwarma last night - including a guest appearance from Pizza Man (Vic) who decided against pizza and went for falaffel. Also present were Barry, Mike Jeremy and Rob. Ginger Ade joined us in the White Swan (Jeremy didn't).
Kisner did a kisner (again).
A quiet night was had by all - the meat was ok and Barry was Vimto Monitor.
It was also decided that the AGM should take place on the wednesday night after Pesach (April 14th) upstairs at Sollys. Partners and wives present? This will be discussed at length nearer the time.

17th February

Tonights meatfest has unfortunately been cancelled tonight due to:
1. football match on sky
2. packing for going away.

Normal service will resume next week.

3rd February

A number of new things for this weeks lads night. The first was a new visitor to lads night - Robs friend called Anton, who was very appeciative of the quality of the meat.
The second was that Sollys were unusally efficient in processing our order. This may be due to the fact that only I (Mike) placed one order for everyone, starting with the chips of course. Hence the Sollys man was less overwhelmed by our order then is usually the case. It also seems that work on the comedy circuit has dried up a bit, leading to the well known (+ jewish) comedian Groucho Marx needing to take part-time work frying chips.
The meat was as good as ever, although slightly let down by the fact that only the thicker pitta breads were available. A further unusual event was that the evening culminated in a trip to the pub (although it was the Harvester) to meet up with some of Robs friends. To top off what was already turning out to be a special evening, we were even visited by Vic at the pub.
Dilema for next week: Apparently next week we will be joined by Robs Mum and Barrys Dad. There has been some talk about temporarily relaxing the normal lad night strict rules and allowing parents/girlfriend/pets (except CATS) to also join in. This would be for one evening only. Opinions on a postcard please.

Youth oportunity reporter and some time uploader Mike has expertly stepped in to report on this weeks meat fest. Thanks Mike!
